How do I pack my backpack?
Bring only the much needed.
You probably have a whole checklist for your vacation. Varying from your passport to hairdryer. All things that you really think you need them. Just like 4 pairs of shoes. Shed everything and remember that you have to carry all these stuff - plus souvenirs - through Thailand for 3 weeks. Because you do not become happy with those thoughts, you remove at least a third of what is displayed on the floor. Trust me, you will be grateful to me later.
Roll up your clothes.
What is in front of you now has to fit in your bag. Your clothes take up the most space and should of course also stay clean. Because you have just removed the iron from your checklist, you can keep clothes clean in a different way. Fold all your clothes double once and roll it up tightly. This way your clothes take up the least space and everything stays pretty wrinkle free.
Use different plastic bags.
Put as many things as possible in plastic bags. A backpack often consists of one large section. For example, if you want to take your underpants or t-shirts, everything is completely mixed up in no time. By separating them through different bags, you will find them easier.
Access to the main subject.
With some backpacks, the main compartment is only accessible via the top. Quite awkward when you want to get something out of your bag quickly before the train leaves. Often you can also go to the main subject via the side or bottom. You can take this into account when you pack your backpack. I always take care of some clean clothes at the entrance to a main subject. Very useful when you arrive at your hostel at night and do not have the time to comfortably find your things together.
Light above, heavily under.
To ensure that your backpack is as comfortable as possible on your back, we will pack strategically. You put heavy items on the bottom and light stuff on top. Your toiletries are often heavier so you put them underneath. Consider, for example, your sleeping bag at the top of your backpack. So you can also quickly when needed. Are you going to camp too? Then put pots and pans at the bottom of your backpack.
Wherever you go: packing your backpack well means being strict about yourself. The key to a well packed backpack is not too much to take with you. That checklist for your holiday should therefore be left aside for a while. That makes you really happy during your trip. Do you take a lot with you? Then carefully pick everything up, spread the heavy stuff, but put the heaviest things underneath. And put everything in separate bags? Trust me that works!
