Installing MyDrive Connect on your computer
Step 1: Download and install MyDrive Connect
You can download MyDrive Connect from the following website https://www.tomtom.com/nl_nl/mydrive-connect/. MyDrive Connect is available for Windows and Mac. Choose the right version of MyDrive Connect for your computer's operating system. After this, MyDrive Connect will start downloading. Once downloading is complete, you can begin installation. If installation doesn't start automatically, look for the file installmydriveconnect.exe on your computer. Click it, and installation will start.
Step 2: Log in with your TomTom account
MyDrive Connect has now been downloaded and installed. Open the program and you'll be asked to log in to MyDrive Connect. Log in using the details for your TomTom account. If you don't have a TomTom account yet, you can create one.
Step 3: Connect your TomTom to your computer
Connect your TomTom navigation system to your computer. Use the included USB cable. You can see if your navigation system is connected in MyDrive Connect under "My Navigation System". When your TomTom has been connected to your computer, you'll see that its status is "Connected". If your TomTom isn't connected to your computer, it'll simply say "Not connected". Connect the included USB cable directly to one of your computer's USB ports. Don't connect the USB cable to a USB hub connected to the computer.
Step 4: Add your TomTom on MyDrive Connect and view updates
When you connect your TomTom to your computer, MyDrive Connect will ask you if you want to add the navigation system. Come up with a name for the navigation system and click on the button "Add". Your TomTom will now be added. Once your TomTom has been added, you can see if there are any updates available for it. Once you've installed the updates, your MyDrive Connect installation and configuration will be complete.
