  • We repair any manufacturing defects covered by the warranty for free. You don't need an insurance for that.
  • Damage that doesn't impact the performance of the insured device, such as dents, scratches, or surface damage.
  • Damage to or malfunctions in insured devices that can be fixed by removing dirt and blockages from the device.
  • Damage to hardware added after purchase or newly bought hardware that's no longer in its original state.
  • Consequential damage: damage that isn't directly suffered by your device. For example, if your washing machine breaks and leaks water, which damages your floor, that damage isn't covered by this insurance. You need home insurance or household insurance for this.
  • Damage caused by accidental loss, such as forgetting or losing the insured device.

Damage caused by drops and impacts

Is your product damaged by drops or impacts? If so, Coolblue can repair your product. The costs are covered by the insurance. You only have to pay the deductible amount.

Water damage

Is your product damaged because it came into contact with liquids? If so, Coolblue can repair your product. The costs are covered by the insurance. You only have to pay the deductible amount.

Manufacturing defect without warranty

Has your product stopped working in such a way that it's not covered by the manufacturer's warranty, or has the warranty expired? If so, the costs are covered by the insurance. You only have to pay the deductible amount.

Theft

Has your product been stolen and do you have an insurance that covers theft? If so, you'll receive the price of the same or a similar replacement product in Coolblue credit, minus your deductible amount. You can then use this credit to choose a new product. Theft from a car is also covered by this insurance, as long as there are signs of forced entry and you didn't place your belongings in plain sight.

Note: the insurance coverage differs per product, depending on which insurance you choose. Make sure to always read the terms and conditions of the insurance you choose.
