Pros and cons

According to our camera lens expert
  • Pros:
The silent autofocus motor prevents you from disturbing your subject.
  • Pros:
Thanks to the internal focus, the front lens doesn't move in and out while focusing.
  • Con:
The Sigma 35mm has no image stabilization. As a result, unintentional movements aren't compensated.

Product description

The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 ART DG HSM Canon AutoFocus is a wide-angle lens from Sigma's ART collection. The lens is made of Thermally Stable Composite material, making it resistant to temperature changes. In addition to Special Low Dispersion lens elements, the Sigma 35mm also has Fluorite Low Dispersion lens elements. Thus optical lens errors, such as axial and chromatic aberrations, are prevented. Due to the large aperture you can play with depth of field and also shoot in dark light situations.

Sigma has developed SIGMA Optimization Pro software for its C, A, and S lenses. With this software you can update the firmware and adjust the focus parameters of the lens. A special USB dock is available for this purpose.

Very good prime lens. Bought for indoor sport actions and it serves the purpose. Also gives nice out of focus background due to short focus distance. Well suitable for full body portraits.
