Pros and cons

According to our air purifier expert
  • Pros:
Thanks to the Dyson Link app you can easily control the air purifier remotely.
  • Pros:
This air purifier has a fan function for a nice breeze.
  • Pros:
This air purifier heats the cleaned air, so that you do not have a cold air flow in the room.
  • Con:
This air purifier isn't suitable as an air conditioner because it doesn't cool the air, but only moves with the fan function.
  • Con:
When the heating function is switched on, the air purifier makes more noise.
Product Expert air purifiers

The Dyson Pure Hot+Cool White/Silver - 2018 is an air purifier with a ventilation and heating function. Useful, since you can use it as a heater during winter. The air purifier uses various sensors to measure the air quality and adjusts itself accordingly. The HEPA filter and the carbon filter removes allergens, viruses, and odors from the air. The purifier indicates when you have to replace the filters. The oscillation function allows the purifier to turn up to 350º, so the air flow spreads through the entire room. Use the included remote or the Dyson Link app to control the purifier from the comfort of your chair.

Note: if the air purifier is turned on 24 hours per day, you'll need to replace the filter after 6 months.

"Worst experience"

Not_a_Dyson_supporter | 28 May 2020 | In the version: White

  • Pros:
    No Pro. Sorry
  • Con:
    Expensive for absolutely nothing
  • Con:
    Dyson support is terrible
  • Con:
Buggy device. Could not connect to Wifi
  • Con:
Take a lot of space in the room
  • Con:
    Detect non existing particules

This was the worst experience ever. First, the purifier part is a total scam. It suddenly detect a lot of car gas, while I'm living in the middle of nowhere during a COVID lock-down. Second: The device was not able to connect to my Wireless. I've spent 1 month sending technical details to Dyson support (I work in IT/network)) but I NEVER received any decent feedback (other than turn it off/on again). At some point they asked for my phone number to contact me back but after two weeks they said: "Sorry, we can't give phone calls to external lines". What ... seriously ? Anyway, thank you Coolblue to allow victims to ask for refunds.

"Slightly expensive but an excellent product for daily usage."

  • Pros:
Air flow is very natural compare to other products.
  • Pros:
You can feel the air quality change really fast. My pollen allergies has decreased drastically.
  • Pros:
Remote control via Dyson link app is very handy, especially when you need to manage it from distant.
  • Pros:
    Power usage is very efficient.
  • Pros:
Interface is very user friendly on the device itself.
  • Con:
Filters are very expensive, which is an additional cost you should consider before buying.
  • Con:
It would be great to have some sort of carrying handle on the device.

I would highly recommend this product. Yes, it is not working as a cooler more like a ventilator/air purifier but it's perfect in these both aspects.

"Good product"

Pierre S | 27 August 2019 | In the version: With fan and heating function

  • Pros:
    History of air quality

I had some problems with the WiFi at the beginning. After an automatic system update (via WiFi) everything is fine. Very happy with the product. I would recommend it to anyone who suffers from allergy.
