Dreame A1 Pro

I've been working with the mower for a week now and the results are disappointing. It took half a day to get the firmware updated (problem with their server). When setting the zones, it shows a time that is needed to mow the zone. In reality, it takes 3x longer than planned, which makes it impossible to mow 3000m2. In addition, the mowing is inconsistent, which means that it sometimes goes over the same zone multiple times.

Super handy to install via the phone as a remote control. The app is user-friendly, especially if you have other Dreame products. Mows very efficiently in straight lines.

The Dreame A2 is a very nice lawn robot. The performance is like the looks and what dreame promotes with the lawn mower. The mowing performance is very good. It adapts easily. When changing in the garden and takes your pet(s) into account with the Dreame A2. You get a long cable at the charging station that is very easy to hide. Everything is also nicely waterproof, which you expect. Only the garage that you have to buy separately. This was not annoying for me because I bought this mower via ecocheques. But I can assume that people would have liked to have this as standard. Which I certainly understand. The design is beautiful and sturdy and it is heavy. It feels like quality. I also already have a dreame l50 ultra and so this also makes it easy because they all fall into 1 app. Installation was done in 5 minutes. You connect the lawn mower to the app and then the lawn mower to the wifi. After this, an update and it is ready for use. It can also work without or with a bad wifi signal. It has Bluetooth and you can easily operate it without any problems. And I have to say even though I am 10 meters away in the house I still have a connection via Bluetooth. That is also great. Then you start creating a map. This can be done automatically but I always recommend doing this manually. So via the app you have the remote control to manually map your entire lawn. This works with a bit more precision to be sure that it mows everything correctly. Although I have to say automatic was also done well. But he managed to map 2 places with a bit less. But I am impressed that he can do this so well. After mapping everything you can. Adjust your map. Such as no mowing zone. Or create multiple zones and possibly separate the lawn etc. You can even have shapes made to your wishes in a certain zone. Great for the kids of course. You can also adjust your mowing direction or even have it mowed in a criss-cross shape. Furthermore, you can also change a number of settings with each mowing session. The height and whether you want edge master. This works very well. It moves its cutting disc to 1 side to mow edges better. This works excellently. Do take into account that this always cuts at a height of 3cm. But that is ideal with paths or edges. This way they look very neat. In short, mowing and using the app is really great. A narrow path/passage is also easy to set. The robot will drive exactly the path that you have set. Battery: here we come to the only real disadvantage. The new robot lawn mowers have more and more technology. Which also ensures more consumption. The Dreame A2 can do about 100m2 per charge. That does not sound impressive. For example, it has to do 1 zone here of 150m2 in 2 times. And zone 2 is currently 560m2. It will do this in 5 times. Can it do that? Yes, certainly. The fast charging ensures that it is always ready on time. You let it do its thing and it does the rest without worries. In the future I also suspect that larger/stronger batteries will be available, as with most robotic lawnmowers. So that can perhaps be improved later. In short: a good purchase, easy and smart to use. Especially with pets and children who are often in the garden, you still feel safer with a lawnmower that detects everything. It can patrol itself and therefore serve as extra security. In this case, it can send out a warning if it detects someone, both to you and to the person it detects.
