We had an inkjet printer for this. We don't print much at home and therefore suffer from ink cartridges that dried out and prints with stripes. To get rid of that, we bought a laser printer. We also wanted to be able to print and scan in color. I therefore compare the printer against the inkjet printer we had (Canon, could also scan/copy).
What I've never seen and therefore really disappoint is that all scans so far (both manually and with automatic input) yield skewed images! A rectangle becomes a parallelogram. The sides are neat but the tops and bottoms are slanted.
