The Acer Nitro V 15 ANV15 is a 15-inch entry-level gaming laptop, which allows me to smoothly play medium-demand games in Full HD. I play most games without stuttering at a minimum of 60 frames per second. The laptop also has a nice backlit keyboard. However, I do find the fans a bit noisy after a while.
Powerful NVIDIA RTX 5000 graphics card
The Acer Nitro V has an NVIDIA RTX 5060 graphics card. The laptop easily handles medium-demand games. I play Minecraft at the maximum frames per second on the highest settings. I play other medium-demand games, such as Train Sim World 5, at 60 to 80 frames per second. Unfortunately, demanding games like Microsoft Flight Simulator and Starfield are too demanding on the graphics card. In Flight Simulator, I get a message that the environments are too demanding for the graphics card, even with DLSS support enabled. Therefore, I'm trying another game with vibrant graphics, namely South of Midnight. I play this game smoothly at 60 frames per second in Full HD without DLSS enabled.
Gaming look with RGB illuminated keyboard
The RGB illuminated keyboard gives the Acer Nitro a nice gaming look. During startup, I see the laptop light up orange, which I think is a nice combination with the black design. I easily adjust the keyboard colors using Acer NitroSense. I do this, for example, when I want to play a different game.
Good ventilation
The top of the laptop stays nice and cool during gaming. This is due to the extra fan above the keyboard. However, I find the laptop quite noisy during gaming. I also adjust the fan speed using NitroSense. For the test, I set it to maximum, and the noise is clearly audible. The advantage is that the laptop stays well-cooled during gaming. I also feel little heat on the sides and bottom. This is good ventilation for an entry-level gaming laptop.
