I have a love-hate relationship with this watch. On the one hand, I'm incredibly enthusiastic about the device itself. The design is modern, and the screen is high-quality. The watch is comfortable to wear, both during exercise and sleep. What really surprised me is the battery life. I use the watch quite intensively (sleep tracking, sports activities, notifications from my phone), and yet I only have to charge it after about seven days.
The technical performance is also top-notch. The heart rate monitoring is accurate, and the GPS function is very reliable. It's also nice that the watch connects to both Android and iOS.
Unfortunately, the app is lacking. Huawei Health isn't intuitive and is full of features I don't use, but can't hide. The menu structure is confusing, and some sections are sloppy or automatically translated. I regularly receive notifications via the watch (vibrations), but when I look, I don't see anything, even though the notification is clearly visible on my phone.
What I also miss is a simple battery indicator on my Samsung phone. Everything has to be done through the app or the watch itself.
Despite that, the watch offers so much. It's a shame the app lags behind, because the watch itself is truly top-notch.
