Dyson V8, V10, and V11
Dyson V8: for smaller households
With the Dyson V8, you can vacuum for 25 minutes on the average setting. The 3 lights on the battery show the remaining battery life. The dust cup has a small 0.54L capacity, so you have to empty it more often. The suction power is good, but not as good as that of newer Dysons. It does have a turbo mode for vacuuming carpets. The battery lasts for 5 minutes with this mode. The 5-hour charging time is quite long.
Dyson V10: longer battery life
With the Dyson V10, you vacuum 20 minutes longer than with a Dyson V8. The dust collector is larger too. This allows you to vacuum the top floor even after you've vacuumed the ground floor. Thanks to the high suction power, you can also thoroughly clean the rug. After 3.5 hours, it's fully charged and ready for the next round.
Dyson V11: LCD screen
From the Dyson V11, the extensive Absolute model includes a screw-shaped detangling brush. You can use it for removing pet hairs from your furniture, because of the detangling comb on the inside. On the LCD screen, you can read the battery life and other useful information about the Dyson V11.
Dyson V12 and V15
Dyson V12: lightweight vacuum
The V12 detects the dust particles it vacuums. It adjusts the suction power accordingly. As a result, you can use the battery life the best way possible without having to do anything. Thanks to the green light beam, the smallest dust particles are clearly visible. It's also the lightest Dyson stick vacuum at 2.2kg. You turn on the V12 via the red button on the front. Useful, because you don't have to hold the button while vacuuming.
Dyson V15: larger dust collector
The dust collector of the V15 is twice as large as that of the V12. This is useful for households with multiple floors. The V15 also measures the dust particles via the Piëzo sensor. That's how it automatically adjusts the suction power too. As a result, you can use the battery life in the most efficient way. And thanks to the parquet brush with green light beam, you can see where exactly you still need to vacuum.
Dyson Gen5
