You can capture far-away subjects up close with a Nikon telephoto lens. That way, you can photograph athletes from the sideline or wild animals in nature, for example. Thanks to the large zoom range of Nikon telephoto lenses, you can capture details that are harder to see with the naked eye. Nikon also has telephoto lenses with a large focal length of 60mm, for example. We call these lenses super telephoto lenses.
