As a loyal Apple fan, this was about the only device I didn't have at home. I purchased the HomePod as a speaker for the desk. I was aware that playing Spotify had to be done with some detours. After all, Apple wants to promote its own Apple Music. In theory, you can play Spotify, but it is a hassle. However, what bothers me the most is the HomePod's responsiveness. Each action takes quite a bit of time, including adjusting volume, changing songs, etc. Sometimes the HomePod doesn't even respond at all. The sound is ok, but there are much better speakers for this price category.
