When I opened the package, I immediately noticed that this shaver fits comfortably in my hand. It feels like you're dealing with one of Philips' top-of-the-line products, making the shaving experience even better.
Charging is possible in the UV purifier, but in my experience, it doesn't fully charge the shaver. Charging is best done directly on the charger. The shaver is fully charged within a short time.
I had to pair it with the app several times, after which an update was immediately available. The app offers shaving tips based on previous shaves. It's good, but in my experience, you don't check it daily. You can, of course, also check here for updates.
After updating, you can start shaving. The first shave is immediately noticeable with the various colors. If you press too hard, the shaver turns red, and if it's working well, it turns green. This is nice, but not essential. Personally, I turned it off to save battery life. The shaving results are immediately visible. You can clearly see the difference between the shaved and unshaved areas. My skin feels incredibly smooth after a shave. No razor or device has ever achieved this. I noticed that with a few shaves, you can also get small nicks. After each shave, the device reminds you to cleanse.
Personally, I'm disappointed with the battery life. The device drains easily within a day. Activating the travel lock stops the drain. Enabling the power-saving mode also helps. I've managed to shave five times on a full battery so far. Fortunately, it charges quickly.
A plus point is that both the UV and cleansing pods work well. You immediately notice the difference. Therefore, I definitely recommend using both cleansing methods.
My final conclusion is that it's a great shaver that fits comfortably in the hand and delivers an extremely smooth shave, but it does require regular charging.
