According to our earbuds expert
The Shure SE215-CL in-ear earbuds were created for true music enthusiasts. The dynamic micro driver produces a detailed, warm sound and has a knack for low bass tones and clear high tones. The earbuds have soft, noise-canceling sleeves which block 90% of ambient noise. Both soft, flexible sleeves and foam rubber sleeves are included to ensure a personal, comfortable fit. To guarantee durability, the Shure SE215-CL has a detachable Kevlar cable which can be easily replaced. A soft case allows you to bring the earbuds along when traveling, without any problems. The earbuds are worn over your ears, so they'll stay firmly in place, without any cables getting in the way.

I have worn out many earphones, mainly from Sennheiser, but always cheaper than 100 euros. I always preferred the types that didn't have to be put in your ear because I don't find that comfortable. Either they strain too much or they slip out. In addition, I hear clacking sounds while I eat, for example, but that must be me... Meanwhile, the choice of quality earphones that shouldn't be IN your ear is so limited that I started looking for an alternative. My eyes fell on the unique design of this Shure E215. I know Shure from the needles on my record player, back in the day, so wasn't worried about their standard of quality! I've only had them for a week now, but I can safely say they are the best I've ever had!
If you spend some time looking for the right cap, they will fit perfectly. You hardly feel they are in your ear! And yet they don't come loose. It takes some getting used to to put them in, but I'm already starting to get the hang of it so that won't be a permanent problem.
A minus might be the fact that the tips are quite difficult to replace, but I prefer that to them being left in your ear, and you don't end up replacing those tips after you find the right ones. You even have the impression that you will break the cap, but they are apparently very sturdy. A trick is to move the caps back and forth while prying the caps off with your nail as close to the tube as possible.
Except for the music, I don't hear any noises such as cable, wind and chewing noises and also very important: they attenuate the ambient noise very well. I use them a lot during a daily special in a busy restaurant. This means you have to play them less loudly. I used to have to turn the sound almost to maximum, but now I stay at 2/3 and I still hear the music clearly than with my previous earphones.
The sound is very balanced. It is important to choose the right caps for a perfect closing fit. Otherwise they can sound a bit peeling, but as said, the good tips are definitely there for you, unless you have very strange ears maybe... :-) With the right caps you get a full bass, detailed mids and balanced treble. What strikes me most is the openness. I don't have the impression that the sound from the earphones is 'pumped' straight into my ear, but that it comes from all around me. And I read somewhere that the sound only really comes loose after more than a hundred hours of playing....
In terms of design and quality, this is also perfect, you can feel the reliability. The cable is a bit thicker than normal and maybe just a bit too long, but it doesn't tangle at all. All connections are gold plated. I chose the translucent version. It is fairly inconspicuous, although a lot bigger than a standard earpiece. and it's nice to see the interior.
Even though they are the most expensive earphones I have ever bought, they are dirt cheap for what they offer. Compare with, for example, the more expensive Shure earphones. Maybe after this one I'll even consider an earpiece from their higher range, although I wouldn't know what could be done better. The design and quality are the same as Shure's top range, which only contains more and better drivers
All in all, this is a great product for me, where I do not regret the purchase for a second and I have the feeling that this will not happen.
Shure: A sure thing!

After the annoying wearing of the Sennheiser CX300ii (on your neck), the Klipsch S4 that broke, the House of Marley - Uplift Midnight (drama) and the Fisher Audio - Goldenwasp (drama) I was looking for something really good. After a lot of snooping on forums like Head-Fi, I finally went for Shure.
I want good isolation, no wind noise on the bike, and a bass that doesn't dominate/blur the rest of the tones. I definitely found this in these in-ears, what a great in-ears! Over time you will automatically get a knack for doing it, this is a bit difficult in the beginning I use them with the Ibasso DX50 with custom firmware SU 1.4 and listen to a lot of Trance and Hardstyle.
They have not been used for a good 60 to 70 hours because I let them play in first. This is recommended on many forums. The bass is just right, not so boomy or woolly, but tight and deep. I regularly get goosebumps with the melody and vocals in the trance songs because it sounds so pure.
So don't hesitate any longer and buy these in-ears when you finally want to hear really good sound the way it's meant to be!

What great earbuds the se215-CL are. After the very fast delivery of Coolblue, it was first a puzzle to find pleasantly fitting sleeves, but when that was done, nothing but listening pleasure. Earplugs are very comfortable and unlike many other earplugs you don't notice that you have anything in them.
Very solid product and especially a very pleasantly fitting earplugs that also produce a super sound.
