The Foodsaver FSV2860 Top Line Vacuum system allows you to keep food fresh for a longer period of time. The vacuum sealer machine sucks all the air out of the bag, so harmful bacteria don't get the chance to spoil your meal. The integrated cutting system allows you to cut FoodSaver bags to size for an even better fit. Simply place a piece of meat, fish, or other food item in the bag. Place the unsealed section of the bag in the vacuum sealing machine, press the vacuum and seal button, and the FoodSaver will do the rest. It has variable settings for different kinds of food, and a pulse system to safely vacuum delicate products. You can operate the Foodsaver vacuum sealing machine with 1 press of a button.

After hesitating about the purchase due to the high price, I bought the FoodSaver FSV2860. A purchase that I have not regretted to date. After a few months of use, I can definitely recommend this device.

Everyone throws away food. Obviously a shame, but often products do not taste better if they are put in a bag in the fridge or freezer. The foodsaver will certainly not prevent this completely, but it offers quite a bit of relief. By sealing food it stays good for much longer (due to the lack of oxygen), tastier (by preventing crystallization) and it is possible to cook sous-vide or let marinades soak in much faster. In addition, sealed products also take up less space, which makes buying cheaper family packaging suddenly much more attractive.

The vacuuming itself is simple. Food goes into the special bags and it is clamped between the device. You choose whether it is moist, slightly moist or dry and you choose the speed of the vacuuming. The more fragile the food, the slower it has to be. With the auto button, the machine will pull the air out and seal it, but with the manual button you can specify how strongly you want to vacuum it. Even sensitive products such as berries remain intact. Here you can indicate yourself when the device should seal. This all works very intuitively. In addition to the bags, it is also possible to use the supplied hose and pot. Ideal for, for example, started coffee that lasts noticeably longer. There is one storage can with the machine, but these can be purchased separately. Because the buttons are completely integrated in the machine, there are no slots where junk can get in and everything is very easy to clean. Very handy in a kitchen.

By the way, I don't just use the device for food. Because I walk regularly, I even sealed a small first aid kit and a poncho. Hugely space-saving and guaranteed dry when it's really needed. A good example of the wide usability of a vacuuming machine.
