Immediately when the last software update for the Edge810 came out, I bought the Remote Control. Installing is done in no time. On the racing bike on the inside of the brake lever, on the MTB on the handlebar. This is very easy with the supplied accessories. Once logged in to the Edge can it be used on both bikes now. One button is freely programmable. On the bike it is a revelation in use. You can now easily scroll through the screens without taking your hand off the steering wheel. Due to the thickened buttons, it can also be used well with gloves (winter!). All in all a very very useful accessory!!

Bought the remote to be able to scroll through the pages on the Edge 820 with my hands on the wheel, I don't use the other two buttons (yet). Installation and pairing with the Edge is quick and easy, no complaints about this. The first ride, the remote definitely didn't work as I expected: when pressing the scroll button next, no action on the screen of the Edge, sometimes it does but most of the time it doesn't.

Replaced the battery for the second ride and tried again, now the remote worked as it should: pressing the remote button 1x immediately gives an action on the screen of the Edge.

Strange that the remote is not standard with the Edge because this is a safe way to browse through the pages with your hands on the wheel.

Hopefully the battery consumption will remain within limits and the remote will also work when it gets colder.
