Tent bought last month here at coolblue, delivery as usual! Meanwhile, used for two weeks to camp with the motor.

GREASE STAIN UPON DELIVERY A bad minus when setting up the tent for the first time: there appeared to be a grease stain on the door at the front. Very unfortunate, knowing that your new tent has already been used by someone else. I don't know if this is due to Coolblue or Robens?

Tent has been tested in two weeks with a number of set up and take down.

CONVENIENCE The tent is convenient and quick to set up. Although the first time it is a bit difficult to find the best way to tension the tent so that all parts of the tunnel are equally tensioned. Once you figure that out, it's child's play!

FIRMNESS When unpacking the tent, you notice that the materials are very sturdy: the canvas is of good quality. Pickets are light and very strong: if you don't have a hammer, just stand up with bones every time. Not a single picket has been twisted or bent even on hard rocky ground!

ROOM The tent offers a lot of space due to the large awning. Especially with the motorbike it is a plus to be able to leave all your bags and equipment in the awning so that it cannot get wet at night. The inner tent is spacious to sleep with two people and some small clutter. It is also possible with three people, but then all luggage has to be in the awning and it will be quite cozy inside with three together.

WATERTIGHTNESS AND WIND SENSITIVITY One day we had a strong storm with heavy rain showers. Other tents at the campground were rocking back and forth, while our Robens just stood firm. Also in terms of waterproofing, no leaks or problems due to the rain showers that day. That's great, because with a new tent it's always a bit exciting, especially with an alpine storm as a baptism of fire!

However, I found some drawbacks associated with this tent that could be improved or thought through:

INDOOR VENTILATION The inner tent is accessible with a door. There is no second door with only mosquito netting as is often the case with other tents. Here is a part of the door of which you can open a zipper for ventilation: just the top. This is not enough to cool the inner tent on a warm night. A missed opportunity because the general ventilation of the tent is well organized by the side edges that you can hang and the outside door where you can use a mosquito net. So a night of 20 degrees is already too hot, so we had to sleep with the door of the inner tent open. when opening the inner tent you can feel the fresh air entering directly (indicating good ventilation of the area outside the inner tent) Unfortunately, this allows insects to enter the tent. So you have to choose between either too warm or insects in the inner tent. So I'm looking at the options to change the inner tent canvas to mosquito netting.

CONDENSATE WATER LEAKS DOWN We used the tent a number of times with a ground sheet in the awning and a number of times without a ground sheet. In the morning the inside of the outside sail was always soaked with condensation. Condensation is quite normal with tents. Although it is a pity that as soon as you want to unzip the outer tent, the condensation starts to leak down on your things in the awning. The condensation water does not run along the tarpaulin to the side but drips straight down. Even if you are very careful to move as little as possible when unzipping the flysheet. The result is that your stuff will get a bit wet from dripping condensation water left and right. Not a problem on a sunny day because it dries immediately, but on a drizzly day it is a pity to have to put on damp clothes because of falling condensation water.

A good price-quality tent, although for this price you can expect that better thought has been given to ventilation of the inner tent + drainage of condensation. After all, you pay twice as much as a trekking tent from Decathlon with approximately the same specifications. Although you do notice that the quality of the sails is better than a Decathlon tent :-)

Nice (bicycle, canoe) trekking tent, sufficiently compact and light, strong, well finished, quick to set up. Moderate ventilation, inner tent stuffy in hot weather.

Easy to set up, but too small for 3 people.
