The idea is great, separate recorder for an x number of cameras. Just configure and you're done. Never depend on third party devices. It becomes confusing when you start setting settings for your camera. You have to do this in the road interface of the camera as well as the NVR. While it is clearly ALL camera settings. However, that's a trick you should know.
It only gets really annoying when you (in my case) want to see your images again. The NVR does not load images or suddenly jumps every 20 seconds, so that you miss the most important moments. There is also a problem that due to still unknown reasons a camera is not recorded at all. This always in blocks of a few seconds to minutes. So very unreliable. Network fully gigabit wired. So slow transfer speeds to I.e. out of the question.
The hard drive has already been disassembled and overwritten on an external device by means of zeros (deep formatting). Unfortunately no solution. Called CoolBlue about this, they would be 31 Dec. contact me. To this day still no response.
Additionally, the Foscam NVR App. This one doesn't work.
In addition, the App that connects directly to the cams also works weird. When I reduce the image quality on the app due to a bad internet connection, the image quality to the NVR is also reduced, resulting: no recognizable faces.
