According to our gaming headset expert
The Logitech G533 Wireless is a wireless surround sound gaming headset for serious PC gamers. The virtual 7.1 surround sound is enhanced with the Dolby DTS Headphone: X, making the audio three dimensional and delivering the sound that the makers of movies and games intended. You can communicate with the collapsible noise suppression microphone. This ensures your teammates only hear your voice and not the noise of the keyboard, for example. Via the buttons on the ear cups, the volume control and mute function are always within reach. After a full charge the G533 lasts for up to 15 hours, long enough to play your favorite game all through the night.

I was looking for a new headset and was still unsure about wired and wireless. In the end, I benefited from choosing a wireless headset for watching multimedia later in the evening without disturbing the people around me. I also have to mention that I really like the Gaming series from Logitech, for example I have the G502 mouse and G610, so I looked at the Logitech line first, I knew they had the G933 with RGB and extra buttons but I found them a bit cumbersome and I was not a fan of the design.
When I looked at the website at the beginning of this year, I saw this new G533 and was immediately sold on the design. The RGB was removed and the design was slightly more conventional than the G933 and more to my liking.
In the box you will find the headset, usb dongle and a 2m long micro usb cable (which I immediately used to charge my mobile phone and to have a little more range while charging). Everything is nicely wrapped and I'm pretty sure nothing can happen to the G533 unless the post tries to run one of their cars over it.
The headband can be adjusted in 15 noticeable clicks and all positions are very easy to choose, you can pull the headphones over your head at the smallest setting until the headband adjusts itself without being too easy or too difficult to adjust. After wearing it for a while, I thought it might have been a bit too tight, but after using it for a week, I don't notice it anymore.
My first comfort point is aimed at glasses wearers like myself. It is possible, depending on the frame you wear, that it will not feel comfortable, for me it is a point I can live with perfectly and the worst thing about it is that when I move my head a bit the earpads squeak a bit against the side of my phone a frame. But this is nothing I was not used to from other headphones.
Sound quality is great and I have no bad points to say. This headset has DTS 7.1 surround sound and in the Logitech software you have an "experience surround" button that gives you an example of a horror game. And for my first experience with this surround, this is quite spectacular to hear! That said, you still get the best audio experience in stereo mode. Comparing stereo with surround: stereo sounds a lot fuller with music, while surround makes it a hollower sound. But this is easy to switch in the software with 1 push of a button.
The headset in use couldn't be simpler. You plug in the USB receiver and turn on the headset. All headset controls are located on the left earcup. And the controls are also made simpler than with the G933, you have a volume wheel, 1 G button, default "mic mute" but you can set it to do almost anything imaginable, and the on/off slider. Controls are easy to find by feel, but afterwards I still miss 1 extra G-button. This is set to the next song for me, but a play/pause button would also come in handy. This could also be adjusted by Logitech with a firmware update, for example by multi-clicking (1x for play/pause, 2x for next, ...). But this is more personal preference.
But this is still a wireless headset and it's great to just walk around while gaming to get something to drink/food and I can take this 2 floors down and get something in the basement before the sound just cuts out. For the wearer, the sound just drops out, but people who were with me on TeamSpeak have told me that if you walk out of your reach there is a cracking sound. But what I also heard is that the microphone sounds very good. Everything is clear and the built-in pop filter does its job well!
Furthermore, the Logitech website promises a battery life of 15 hours. And this time the headset achieves without much trouble. When fully charged, the software itself shows that it can last for 16 hours. Big thumbs up to Logitech!
My biggest downside to this entire headset is the USB receiver due to portability. With wireless mice, you can often store the USB receiver in the mouse somewhere. So if you go to a LAN party, you can lose the receiver in the mouse and you can easily take it with you and you won't lose the receiver. With the G533, there is no space in the headset to take the USB receiver with you. There is also no case/bag included, so if you want to use it on the move, you have to make sure you don't lose the receiver. The headset can also only be used with the USB receiver, no Bluetooth, no 3.5mm input, so it can only be used with your PC/laptop.
For me this is an ideal headset for my use, the mic is muted when you fold it away, it sounds good, the mic sounds good, the wireless range is almost unbelievable and its battery lasts long enough for me the longest gaming sessions! I highly recommend this if you are looking for a wireless headset!

I have been using the product for 2 weeks now and I am very satisfied with it. Had a wireless headset a few years ago and I missed that!
The headset is spacious around the ears and is firmly in place. Sound is clear and easy to set up with logitech software. Handy buttons on the headset itself and not too many. The microphone picks up little background noise, but unfortunately the volume is a bit on the low side.
Before this I had wired the G633, which I had a lot of problems with, but that is not the case with this logitech headset. Plug and play!
*Tested on PC and PS4
