The installation went quite smoothly: just turn on the printer and follow the steps. It all came naturally, so I, being a technology noob, was delighted. After that everything went well at first sight. Only needed 1 try and a beautifully printed sheet came out of my printer, as well as a very nice, colorful photo. So I was quite satisfied.
But then it just started. Every time I turn on the printer, a so-called 'test page' rolls out with the same info. Looks like an ink eater to me. This is how the expensive cartridges sell themselves of course!
A second note is that the printer would turn itself off if inactive for 2 hours. That turns out to be complete nonsense. Do you curl up in bed and think that the printer will turn itself off, so you never have to walk there again? Totally wrong. Don't leave it on at night because then it will start on time and mess around. Handy as an alarm clock, but it doesn't make me happy!
And then I come to my biggest complaint against the defendant: it is a very big attention child. A consciously chosen term, because about every 3 print attempts I get a message that 'attention is required'. Well, I can understand that well, I also need a lot of attention myself and send that message out enough. Only this printer is nowhere to be found (for a technology noob) what kind of attention it wants, so I can never solve the problem. He will eventually solve this after a few minutes, hours, days of waiting. Annoying if you were waiting for your printout. This also has an advantage: unprecedented joy when something rolls out!
Other minor negatives : expensive cartridges, quite slow and from the app you can only print PDF documents. A few plus points: nice print quality, when something eventually rolls out, good scanner and a nice design. µ
Conclusion : if you thought you could do a nice good buy, I would go for a price category higher. This printer is not worth the money in my opinion and is terribly annoying. It gives me a bad mood when I need a printout quickly. Passing the copy center the longest will probably cost you less time!
