The Hager TG511A is an optical smoke detector that works on 230 volt AC power and has a 9V back-up battery. The smoke detector works by itself or linked to other smoke detectors. If you own more Hager smoke detectors, you can make a wired or wireless connection (at a specific frequency). When smoke is detected, the audio signal of 85 decibels will sound in every room in which a smoke detector is installed. Connect the detector to your existing 230-volt power connection in your ceiling. Thanks to the back-up battery, the smoke detector will continue to work in the event of a power failure. This way, you can be sure that you'll always be warned in time if there is a fire risk. Make sure you always put at least one smoke detector along the escape route, like the hallway, landing, or living room. Every other room in the house is an extra addition to your safety.
