Before I bought this device I did extensive research on all possible competitors. One stands head and shoulders above the rest and that is the Thermomix TM6. However, it is twice as expensive and you mainly pay for the name. This Moulinex can do exactly the same, except weigh, but I don't mind that. The display cannot match that of the Thermomix, but that is what the connection with Bluetooth is for. Connect an iPad with Bluetooth and you have an even more beautiful display and also just as user-friendly. Better yet, because you don't have to get up all the time to walk to the kitchen, you can just keep track of the progress on the couch. This device can do almost anything: cutting, chopping, mixing, whisking, boiling, braising, simmering, slow cooking, you name it. Making risotto is a piece of cake. You don't even have to stay with it.
I have only found one drawback: the accompanying App is not available in Apple's Dutch app store. Perhaps this is not a problem with Android, but I had to use all kinds of tricks. In the end I entered a fictitious French address in the app store, then Apple thought I lived in France and so I was still able to download the app. It is by the way in Dutch. This is of course a huge blunder by Moulinex, if the device is sold on the Dutch market, the app must also be available in the Netherlands.
