We already had an Alecto baby monitor, the DBX 85. We bought this one to keep an eye on two kids. Does the same and more, but weighs less and has instead. a charging station simply has a charging plug, so that saves on luggage for travel.
The included rechargeable batteries did not make sense at first, they seemed to charge little or not at all. After a few days of fully charging the plug, they work properly.
The sensitivity is adjustable, so you can decide for yourself whether you are warned with every cough or only when you cry. If I have understood correctly, the device will not send anything to the receiver if no sound is detected, so setting a lower sensitivity means that you can enjoy your rest more and your baby gets less radiation!
