I first had the Optoma HD27E but eventually decided to exchange it for this one, the HD29H. The main reason was the sound that the beamer makes when in use. The beamer hangs on the ceiling above the couch, so that the HD27E makes just too much noise: in particular, it has an annoying beep/buzz. The HD29H makes a world of difference! Very quiet, no annoying beep/buzz, only very soft blowing but you hardly hear that. Image is top notch with both the HD27E and the HD29H. If you want a real silent beamer, go for the HD29H!
