According to our HiFi speaker expert
With the Dail Oberon 1, you can enjoy your favorite music in high sound quality. The 2-way design of this speaker provides a clear balance between the bass, middle, and treble tones. This makes the music sound clear. Thanks to the compact size of this bookshelf speaker, you can easily place it anywhere in your home. Because the speaker is passive, you first need to connect it to an amplifier or receiver.

Due to a lack of space for larger speakers, I chose Dali Oberon. I use them in combination with a Marantz Melody X v2 (= compact stereo all-in-one), and supplemented with a Jamo S 808 compact subwoofer. As the manufacturer recommends, I placed the Oberons straight ahead (not facing the listener), and a few inches from the wall. The result is a beautiful, full and warm sound, and a beautifully detailed and wide stereo image, which makes you feel like you are present with the musicians. In addition, the appearance of the Dali Oberons and the Jamo subwoofer is identical both in terms of lacquer and canvas, so that they appear to be from the same brand. Without a subwoofer, of course, some deep bass is lost, which is normal for such small speakers, but all in all it's not that bad. In short: an absolute must for those who have little space, and yet do not want to make any concessions in terms of quality within this price range.

Consciously chosen for the new Oberon series from Dali. And started with the Oberon 1. For this small size and reasonable price, great sound quality. Even decent bass reproduction and surround reproduction with AV receiver. Will probably expand with an Oberon Front. But already sounds great.
