Been looking for a light hedge trimmer for a while, to complement my (electric) hedge trimmer, which is too heavy if you are going to work overhead. The hedge keeps getting taller despite all the pruning efforts.
The hedge trimmer is solid and feels great in the hand. It was much easier/faster to cut the top of the hedge. I did use the electric hedge trimmer for the underside of the hedge, because that is just a little faster. Fortunately no blisters, I usually suffer from that when I use pruning or clipping shears.
The scissors have a good price-quality ratio, now also temporarily extra affordable with a cashback promotion. This brought the price fairly close to a pair of scissors from another brand.
The blades are really sharp, so you can cut the branches more smoothly. Even slightly thicker branches require almost no extra effort and there is good leverage in the scissors. Of course you should not make it too crazy, the branches should not be too thick. Luckily I have a lopper for this.
Another advantage I found that the cutting blades are very sharp so that you can easily cut the branches. The transmission is also good, it takes relatively little effort to cut through the thicker branches. Of course, these scissors are less suitable for thick branches, but you have loppers for that.
Would particularly recommend these scissors for lighter cutting work where large surfaces are no problem. Also recommended if you have to prune overhead, the scissors are light and manoeuvrable. Particularly suitable for hedges and fencing, such as: beech, boxwood, conifer, ivy, etc.
