The HDMI 2.1 connection does not work at 4k/120hz

If you want to use this in combination with video passthrough for an Ampere 3000 or XBox Series X, you are limited to 4k/60hz due to a bug in the hdmi2.1 connection. Denon is still investigating but it is unlikely that this can be solved with firmware.

I needed a receiver that can power two sets of speakers in the same room but separately, one for TV one mostly for music. The zone2 adjustments are limited to volume control, mute and sources. Not even simple bass/treble control or adjusting time delay. Not all speakers and sources sound good with direct stereo. In addition, listening to the same music through all speakers creates an echo because the signals are not synchronous. Otherwise I loved the receiver and would really have liked to keep it. So if you don't plan to use zone2 but need 7.2 for a surround setup it is a great choice at a great price.
