Corsair HS80 RGB Wireless

Since I'm used to the whims of corsair icue software and take these problems for granted, I can't complain about the headset. Better than expected. Picture sound is much better than my previous corsair void 7.1 headset. Discord voices, game audio and another youtube video; and none of the audio sources melt into each other. The dolby atmos software is many times better than corsair's virtual surround. If you want a step higher in quality than, for example, a corsair void, then this is really a good price/quality increase. I saw in reviews that people complain about the battery and the range. Well, I can just put in an 8 hour session with no problems. So I don't see the battery problem. And as for range, it loses connection when I'm 2 rooms away. In the kitchen (1 wall) he does well, and that's exactly what I expect from him. For a 24bit 96 connection, I think it still has quite a bit of range. But be aware that you sacrifice some range for a high-bandwidth connection. You can't walk all over your house and keep connected. A pair of wireless earphones for your phone have more range.. but as long as you don't have a kitchen on the other side of your villa, you'll be fine with this connection strength.

Very good headset for the price! I'm surprised it has so few reviews. I especially like the microphone, it is so good that my friends thought I had bought a separate studio mic. The mic is of course not as good as a studio mic, but certainly one of the better for a gaming headset. The sound quality is very good out of the box, but when you make some tweaks to the included software Dobly Atmos it becomes twice as good. Present bass and clear mids and highs. While gaming, I can hear where my opponents are. The headset is also very good for watching movies and listening to music. The range of the headset is between 7-12 meters. After 3-4 years looking for a wireless replacement for my Corsair HS60. Lots of options to choose from, but after thorough research I chose the HS80. In many reviews, the quality of the microphone emerged as the biggest plus. The not too expensive price was the deciding factor. Initially I was disappointed with the volume of the microphone. After doing some research on the Corsair forums I found out that there were others with the same problem. This problem can be solved by manually boosting the microphone by means of Equalizer APO, a tool with which you can increase the sound of the microphone. After that, no more problems during Discord sessions. Once adjusted, the mic quality is comparable and often even better than headsets that are twice as expensive. The "microphone arm" also has a status LED built in so you can easily see when the mic is active. If you can see through the problem of the microphone and the bad iCue software, it is noticeable that this is an excellent choice in terms of price/quality. The sound of the headset is good and the range of +- 5 meters is not great, but certainly okay for this price category. Furthermore, the headphones fit like a glove. The padded earcups fit well around the ears and do not tighten too much, so that the headset is still comfortable when wearing glasses. The earcups are also rotatable, which makes it easier to store the headset. The battery lasts long enough (+-10 hours) and the headset can be charged via the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable, which for me is already one less cable to take into account. The cables are braided and have a high quality feel. If the battery runs out while gaming, you can continue playing wired while the headset is charging. After adjusting the volume of the headset, I am very satisfied with this purchase.
