I chose this switch for my simple home network because of the fiber optic connections. Those thin fiber optic cables can easily and unobtrusively be routed around the house over considerable distances from room to room in the smallest size of gutters if you no longer have empty wires to run thick Ethernet cables through.

Yes, I just put that thing away in a closet, I can't see that label anymore. Well, everything loose again and entered the number. The green light should light up so that your 'device' can be detected... That's not good, then. Typically something like 'it should work but it doesn't'. So never mind. I don't know what I'm doing wrong and it doesn't matter in my case. It works for me the way it came out of the box, but the rest doesn't go 1,2,3...
