We had a "dumb" Eufy s11 and now this Dreame l10s pro ultra heat. The base station is quite large but we still had a nice corner next to the freezer where it could stand. In white it is also quite chic.
There are three reservoirs in the base station: cleaning fluid (I will come back to that), clean water and dirty water. The last two reservoirs are quite large and can hold a few liters of water. I don't know exactly how long that will last. But fill and empty them every week on a fixed day and then it is always good. The reservoir for the cleaning agent is small but according to my colleague who also has it, it has lasted more than 4 months. Incidentally, the cleaning agent is not used to mop but to clean the mops. The robot also does this automatically.
Something has also been invented to clean the base station. You can indicate in the app that you want to clean it and then the robot drives off, the container fills with water so that the dirt can soak off and then the base station sucks up the dirty water again. You then only have to clean/dry everything with a dry cloth and you are ready to go again.
The first time you turn it on and go through the installation process via the app, it will scan your house with its sensors. This is done within a few minutes (of course, depending on how big your home is). Then you see a map of your house in the app and it has immediately (in our case) created nice zones: living room, dining room (I had to laugh at that... it's not really a room, but still) and kitchen.
With those zones you can easily create shortcuts later so that you can, for example, just mop the kitchen with 1 press of a button.
The suction power is really good and the mopping too. We have a high pile carpet in the living room. When he starts his cleaning routine at night, he first vacuums that carpet, then the rest, and then mop. Smart! Otherwise he drives over your carpet with wet mops. Well thought out.
The only downside so far is that this robot also cannot handle our flat dining room chair legs. The sensors do not see the legs but they are just too high to drive over completely so he still gets stuck sometimes. In the app you can indicate an area where he should not vacuum but that cannot be so narrow that he only does not do the chairs, for example. I did try that but then he could no longer get under the table... and with two children it is nice to vacuum under there every night. For now, for us the chairs are turned upside down on the table :-)
Ultimately it is a lot of money, but you also get a lot for it. I would definitely recommend this device if you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do everything but does not immediately cost more than 1000 euros.
