I think the JBL Quantum 350 Wireless is a good basic wireless gaming headset. The JBL Quantum 350 Wireless sounds good and the microphone is top notch. This headset is particularly lacking in comfort.
JBL Surround Sound sounds good
The JBL Quantum 350 Wireless uses JBL's proprietary Quantum Surround Sound technology. This technique sounds good. During a game of Fortnite I heard where the sound came from and was able to respond to it. Also when playing Uncharted Lost Legacy, the sound sounded fine. I did miss the range in pitch. Low tones in particular come through a lot less well than with the Quantum 610 and 810.
Microphone sounds good
Another difference with the Quantum 610 and 810 is the microphone. The JBL Quantum 350 Wireless has a separate microphone. You plug this into the headset and it is also bendable. When I played Fortnite online with friends, I could be heard very clearly. Because the microphone is not built into the headset, unfortunately the microphone cannot be folded. I personally thought this was a loss. Especially during single player games, the microphone got in the way. Unfortunately, there is also no button for balancing your party and game audio, so you always have to dive into your console or PC setting.
Easy to install
As with the other JBL Quantum headsets, the installation with the Quantum 350 is quite simple. Installing the microphone is a matter of plugging in. The same applies to the USB dongle with which the headset communicates. You plug this into your console or PC and it connects automatically.
Not very comfortable
In terms of comfort, the JBL Quantum 350 Wireless unfortunately loses compared to the Quantum 610 and 810. I took the headset out of the box and immediately noticed a huge difference in weight. The Quantum 350 is a lot lighter on your head, which is nice, but there are also some drawbacks. The headband has a small and thin cushion. The ear cushions still close well, but are less comfortable due to the thinner ear cushions. I soon noticed that my head and ears started to hurt when I was gaming for a long time.
Are you looking for a basic wireless gaming headset? Then the JBL Quantum 350 Wireless is exactly what you're looking for. Don't expect fantastic specifications for this price, but you get everything a wireless gaming headset should have with the JBL Quantum 350 Wireless.
