I find the Pierre Blender BL5100 powerful, convenient, and easy to use. The automatic programs and the sturdy glass jug make blending easy. The jug is a bit heavy, but you only notice that when you rinse it out or put it away in the cupboard.
Convenient for on the go
What I really find convenient are the two included blending cups. I blend my smoothie directly in the cup and then take it with me to work. The lid closes securely, so I don't worry about leaks in my bag. I also easily make a small batch, so I don't have to make a smoothie every morning.
Ease of use
What I like about this blender is that I don't have to worry about complicated settings. The automatic programs actually do most of the work. For a smoothie, I press one button and the blender stops automatically when it's ready. Want more control? I adjust the speed myself with the dial. This way, I can precisely control the smoothness of my drink. That works well, because sometimes I want a smooth smoothie, but other times I want a slightly thicker texture.
Powerful and fast
Thanks to the powerful motor, I can easily blend hard ingredients. Frozen fruit, ice cubes, or nuts are effortlessly crushed. I often use frozen fruit for my breakfast smoothies, and the blender doesn't falter. Within a minute, I have a smooth mixture, without any chunks.
Sturdy construction
The glass jar feels sturdy and looks good. It's scratch-resistant and doesn't absorb odors or colors, which I appreciate when I alternate between fruit, vegetables, and nuts. I do notice that the jar is a bit heavy, especially when full. That's not a problem for me, but I can imagine it being less convenient if you often make small portions or have to lift it a lot.
Cleaning
After use, I remove the blades and rinse the jar under the tap. The smooth interior makes cleaning easy. If I've used greasy ingredients, I add a drop of dish soap to the pitcher. I fill it with water and run the blender briefly. After that, it's clean again.
