The most common failures of Indesit washing machines

If your Indesit washing machine gives an error before, during, or after a cycle, that's a bummer. You can usually see an error notification or code on the display. Sometimes, resetting the Indesit washing machine helps. You can read what exactly you need to do for which error codes here.

Indesit error F01

There's an issue with the washing machine's electrical circuit.

How can I fix this?

  • Switch off the washing machine and remove the plug from the socket.
  • Wait for at least 2 minutes, then connect the washing machine to the power grid again.
  • Wait for at least 30 seconds, then switch the washing machine itself back on.

Indesit error F01

This error code indicates that there's an error with the drum propulsion. Unfortunately, you can't fix this error yourself. Switch off the washing machine right away and contact your point of purchase or Indesit.

Indesit error F05 or Indesit error F11

The washing machine can't drain the water in the drum. This could be due to a blocked drain filter or a different drain-related problem. The drain pump itself could also be broken.

How can I fix this?

  • Check the drain hose of your washing machine for blockages and solve those.
  • Check the drain itself for blockages. Is the drain clogged? There are several ways to solve this, such as by using a spiral drain cleaner or a plunger.

Indesit error F06

This error code shows up if the washing machine door isn't properly closed. Check if there's anything blocking the door, then properly close it.
