Everything on the DJI Mini 3 Pro

DJI introduced a new drone on 10 May 2022: the DJI Mini 3 Pro. This advanced and compact drone weighs just 249g, so you don't need a drone license. The compact size doesn't affect its great qualities. For example, you can capture HDR images in 4K resolution with 60 fps. You can read everything on the DJI Mini 3 Pro here.

  • The Smart Controller has a built-in screen, so you don't need a smartphone to fly.
  • You can record in 4K resolution at 60 fps, so you can record sharp and smooth footage.
  • In True Vertical Shooting mode, you can capture vertical images that you can share directly on Instagram or TikTok.
  • With a strong wind, the drone consumes more battery to control the drone and runs out faster as a result.

34-minute flight time

Thanks to the completely new design, the DJI Mini 3 Pro is even more aerodynamic and more efficient while in the sky. This allows you to fly up to 34 minutes with this drone during favorable weather conditions. Keep in mind that hard wind and cold temperature can shorten the total flight time.

True Vertical Shooting

In the DJI Fly App, you can activate the different recording modes of the DJI Mini 3 Pro. A new recording mode is True Vertical Shooting. In this mode, the gimbal rotates 90 degrees. This allows you to capture vertical images that you can share via Instragram or TikTok. All of this without losing quality, because the sensor rotates along with the gimbal. That way, you can get the most out of your recording capacity.

Dynamic range

The DJI Mini 3 Pro is interesting for both videographers and photographers. Thanks to the 1/1.3" CMOS sensor, the drone is able to record in HDR at the highest resolution. This gives you a higher dynamic range and allows you to capture more details, especially in the light and dark parts of your footage. In addition, you can capture 48-megapixel RAW photos with this drone. The high dynamic range is also a great advantage there, because you can edit extensively and bring out details.

Obstacle detection

To keep your flights as safe as possible, DJI equipped the Mini 3 Pro with obstacle detection. This small drone has sensors on top, the bottom, and sides that detect obstacles. When your drone notices it's flying too close to an object, it'll automatically maneuver around it easily. You can prevent collisions and you can keep your drone intact for longer.
