Which WiFi extender do you need for Telenet?
If you have an internet connection from Telenet, you'll get a modem. This doesn't provide wireless internet in your whole home. Do you want to extend the WiFi signal? You can do that with a mesh system, new router, or access point. We'll tell you what you need in this article.
Mesh WiFi system
With a mesh system, you ensure the best internet throughout your home. This way, the internet speed is as if you were sitting next to your router everywhere in the house. Telenet modems have internet speeds between 200and 1000Mbps. Choose a mesh system with a 1000Mbps Ethernet speed or more with the CH8568LG modem. This speed doesn't make a difference with other modems.
A better router
The fastest Telenet modem has a WiFi 5 standard. These routers have a smaller range to WiFi 6 routers. With a new router, you already ensure much better internet. That's why you should choose a router with an Ethernet speed of 1000Mbps or more if you have a CH8568LG modem.
Access point
You can request a powerline adapter with your Telenet subscription. This way, you don't have to buy these yourself. An access point is a better amplifier. You can connect an access point to your Telenet box via a network cable. If you use this network cable with an access point, you get many setting options. This way, you can ensure a stable connection at an extra location in your home.
