I have only been using the panel for a short while and it is not really cold yet, but I like it already. I have tried the comfort and ECO modes. The first use smells quite a bit, so I opened the windows and let the sparrows warm up...
Because it is an IR panel, I expected that I would only feel the heat if I was sitting right in front of it. But it turns out to work a little differently. Because there is a mesh in front of the IR panel, this mesh is also heated, which in turn gives off the heat to the room. So it is a bit of a combination of IR and convection.
That means that you are also going to heat the room, not just yourself. That can be a plus or minus point, depending on what you want to use it for. In my case, it will be next to or behind my desk in the attic. So I like the fact that it heats me directly but also gives off some heat to the room.
For this price, it is recommended as an IR panel. But you may use more energy than with a pure IR panel.
There is no smart function so you can’t control it from your phone. A shame, but not a deal breaker. I think I’ll mostly turn it on when I’m working and then turn it off when I leave the room.
I haven’t tried the program mode yet – maybe they’re useful for someone but they look a bit redundant to me.
