The Sennheiser Accentum Open earbuds feel light. I hardly feel them in my ear. I think the music sounds clear and balanced. The material of the earbuds and case feels a bit fragile.
Easy connection
I can easily connect the earbuds to my phone. I put the earbuds in the charger and open the Bluetooth settings on my phone. They automatically appear in the menu. Then I click on them and the earbuds are connected. I find it convenient that I don't need an app, as I do with other earbuds or headphones.
Clear sound
I think the sound is clear when I listen to music. I can clearly hear vocal voices and the background music sounds clear. I find the bass tones solid, which allows me to hear the beat well with rap or techno. This allows me to get lost in the music. With a podcast I can clearly hear voices. However, the sound here sounds a bit thinner and further away. It therefore sounds a bit less realistic.
Compact design
The case and the earbuds are compact. The earbuds do not stick out and have a short stick. I find this handy, because my hair does not get caught on them easily. My earring also does not bump into the earbud easily. The case fits easily in my trouser pocket and does not feel heavy. The material of the case does feel a bit fragile, I think.
Open design
I would not say that the design is open, because the earbud goes in my ear. I do hear a lot of my surroundings, which is characteristic of an open design. When I turn up the music, I hear conversations in the office, but I do not hear what is being said. When I do want this, I turn the volume down a bit. Now I can hear what is happening around me well. On public transport, the conductor's voice sounds clear.
