Batteries empty quickly

13 months in my possession, and I've had enough, it's going out. Firstly, the batteries run out very quickly, I've had to replace it twice this year even though I really don't use it very much (batteries of previous scales always lasted for years. Secondly, the touch button reacts badly to touch. Third, it often jumps from unit of measurement, so would not recommend this scale!
