According to our camera lens expert
The Samyang 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye MC CSII has been developed for Canon cameras with APS-C sensor. The 167 degrees extreme wide-angle creates images with a dramatic fisheye perspective, with a minimum focus distance of 30.5cm. The lens is equipped with a multilayer anti-reflection coating, to prevent lens flare and ghosting. These are spots that arise when a bright light source shines directly into the lens and reflects on the lens elements inside the lens. It also has an aspherical lens element to prevent lens errors, such as ghost images.

I was looking for a lens for fun and to get small spaces in 1 photo. So this fisheye seemed perfect... So he is. Does what is said. It's really unbelievable how big the angle he shoots! So wide in fact that if you have your hand on the lens, which you often do, you even have your own hand in the picture. But it's a matter of getting used to.
It is a manual lens. So focusing is manual, but with a fisheye you quickly shoot infinitely. It takes some testing, but you'll get the hang of it quickly. The focus distance is also indicated on the lens. So because you can't see that through your binoculars, that's handy. Aperture is also manual by means of a ring on the lens. My canon sets the shutter speed itself when I use a manual aperture, but everything up to and including the ISO manual really gives the best results with this lens. I'm just a simple layman, so it often takes a few photos before I find it perfect. But that is getting faster and faster.
So, a fisheye it sure is! Needs some getting used to, but that's no problem in the digital age! I wouldn't use it analogously.

It is a very fine lens, robust, has some weight behind it so that you feel that you have something in your hands. This is the first fisheye I own and it takes some getting used to at first if you're not used to it. That 8mm is extremely wide, great! I was a bit scared of what to expect when I saw the packaging. The packaging was certainly not bad (a closed box is always good) but it could be much better, at least some bubblewrap to fill the spaces in the box to prevent any shock damage. All in all I am satisfied with this lens, very nice for taking pictures. Ideal for filming some eccentric video clips.
But if you want to use it for "macro" shots then I wouldn't take this one, a focus distance of 30cm is not really macro anymore..

The Samyang 8mm F3.5 is really much better than I expected!!!
Not only does it look good but it is also well built. It is easy to use and is a nice fisheye lens.
I would recommend anyone to buy it because what you get for your money is SUPER.
Only a pity is that it has no autofocus and you have to turn with the F yourself. It can go up to F22, but that is sometimes not enough if you take a picture of a white wall with the sun shining on it.
What you get for your money is really SUPER
