According to our paper shredder expert
Rexel put a true entry-level paper shredder on the market with the Alpha CC, which complies to the DIN P-4 safety level. In the 14L container, there's enough space to collect the shredder paper. In terms of speed and capacity, the Alpha CC is inferior to larger and more expensive shredders, but its safety level is similar. The Alpha is very suitable to shred confidential documents without having to worry that these can be restored by people with malicious intents.

If you shred for 3 minutes in a row it is over heated and it stops for half an hour, which is a shame if you have to shred a lot. But it does shred well and is easy to store, it is not that big.

Ordered on a Sunday and received the next day on Monday, so delivery was perfect again. Device is packaged in its own brand box, which in turn comes in a tight-fitting brown box. This whole is then packed in the well-known (slightly too large) Coolblue box.
Based on the “Coolblue choice” and the reviews decided to buy this device. Although I still doubted whether I should go for the slightly more expensive Fellowes Powershred 36c or the twice as expensive Fellowes Powershred 60Cs. Tried the device immediately upon receipt and for my use the device works fine.
I still had a pile of about 30 sheets of administration: tax papers, letters from the municipality, invoices, a proof on glossy photo paper and a number of self-printed documents (on cheap A4 paper). Shredding sheets per 5 went fine, you hear that the device has less trouble with 1-3, but 5 pieces is fine with "normal" paper. But shredding several sheets at the same time does not ensure that you can actually use the device for 3 minutes (I think, time has not been tracked). What I did was turn the machine on, offer paper (ranging from 1 to 5 at a time) and then turn the machine off once the paper was shredded. After something like 22 sheets, the machine stopped. A very faint smell of smoke was noticeable and due to the lack of an LED indicator I didn't know if the device was faulty or if it was already too hot to continue working. Fortunately, after waiting about 20 minutes, the device turned out to be usable again.
The speed with which a (set of) sheet(s) is shredded has surprised me positively, again not measured, but it will be somewhere between 5 and 8 seconds. The box indicates that the output tray can hold 60 sheets, but that will be in pressed state. Because untouched, the bin is really full after about 16 sheets. After shredding the entire pile, I saw in the bin that there was a narrow strip of paper in it. How this is possible, I don't know. But the rest was neatly shredded into small pieces.
I liked the sound a lot. I expected it much harder based on the Coolblue downside and the reviews. Yes, you can hear the device, but it is not disturbing for the short time that I eventually need the device.
The very short cord, I would have liked 40 cm more. Now you should have the device right next to a socket. Not a big deal in my case, because the device goes into the cupboard after use, but it is something to take into account if you want to have it permanently at a desk or something.
All in all very satisfied with this shredder, practice will show how long it will last. But those 2 times every 2 weeks that I expect to need it, then that should be fine. Also curious whether the device really does not need to be oiled for maintenance, as the manual indicates.

Excellent paper shredder for a reasonable price.
I needed a small paper shredder to shred a few documents a day (rarely more than 10). Given this need, this Rexel Alpha CC is an excellent choice for me in terms of capacity, speed and price.
The power cord is impractically short with a length of ± 90 cm.
