I bought this Bluetooth receiver to convert my wired Philips SHN9500 headphones into wireless bluetooth headphones.
The receiver is small and light, so it was very easy to just secure it with a rubber band at the top center of the carrying handle of my headphones. And the supplied short 3.5mm cable is the perfect length for this.
I think the sound quality is very good, both the low, middle and high tones are reproduced well. I currently only use it to listen to music (Spotify or sound at movies/youtube). I haven't used the speech function yet (I didn't intend to). I've also connected it to my sound system a few times to stream music to and that also works fine.
The 'pairing' is also fast and it automatically connects to recently connected devices within range (I use it with mobile phone & laptop).
I am also very satisfied with the battery life. I use it for an average of 1 to 2 hours daily (varies quite a bit), and I have to charge it once a week on average. It lasts at least 6 hours on a single charge.
Thanks to this receiver I have been able to keep my current headphones which has benefited both my wallet and the environment :-) Because for a new solid over-air bluetooth headset you will soon lose a considerable amount. And my wired headphones were still working fine so I didn't see any reason to get rid of them.
