After much hesitation, opted for white Bose 161 speakers. I (well, my wife) absolutely wanted white speakers for the wall because other colors clash. And of course swearing is not allowed according to my wife. Of course I know Bose from the 'milk cartons' and I've never been enthusiastic about that. So: order, listen critically and if you don't like it, return with that trade. But: pleasant surprises in our living room! The Bose 161s are used as rear speakers in our home cinema and they are just really good. Nice clear sound and lots of detail. You should not expect a lot of bass, but you have one hell of a subwoofer for that (dad also wants his way) and then it just sounds super tight. So: if you are looking for a great solution for a home cinema for not too much money or at least a 2.1 setup, then you are just fine with these speakers.
