After having had a number of other subwoofers, this Yamaha has now arrived. Beautiful sound and warmer than the other woofers. Nice that there are multiple connections, I use the LFE. It turns itself on and off automatically and that setting works fine. If the radio is soft, then an extra bass is not necessary at all, then it will not turn on.
