The JBL Charge 3 won thanks to the review action of my former employer (and also the best electronics store in the Netherlands). The speaker was neatly delivered by PostNL within the time frame of 2 hours (11:00 - 13:00). Thanks to PostNL for that.
Happy running upstairs to proudly show the coolblue package to my mother (with Coolblue packages like this you secretly always become a small child in a candy store) and then open the package in my bedroom.
First of all: the packaging of the JBL Charge 3: beautiful and good quality box. This one already feels good. Then the product in it must also be good.
When opening the box, you will be delighted with a photo of people partying at a Holi Fusion Color festival. So the speaker can even be taken to such a dye lot (you can then simply rinse the speaker with water because of the IPX7 standard). This means that the speaker can be submerged in water up to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes.
The bluetooth on my phone enthusiastically cranked and the speaker on/off button pressed. Pairing was a breeze (or was it a piece of cake?) oh well, you know what I mean.
The quality of the sound can be described in one word: WOW!
I can't explain it and so I would advise: buy it yourself and hear how the JBL Charge 3 sounds. If you know how this one sounds, you certainly want to pay 179 euros for this (or less by the time you read this and this speaker has been replaced for the charge 4, 5 or 6).
Oh yes, another advantage: your phone goes empty so quickly when you have bluetooth on. Via the supplied USB cable you can charge your phone (sorry iPhoners, it is a micro USB cable) via the built-in power bank.
Now that I'm typing this enthusiastic (and perhaps a bit too long review), I come to a downside: there is no AUX cable. This would have been nice to give you even more connection options. Fortunately, many devices nowadays have bluetooth.
