According to our mirrorless camera expert
Use the 14-140mm lens for landscape photos, portraits, and closeups.
Because the camera doesn't have a low-pass filter, it produces razor-sharp images.
Capture fast-moving subjects accurately at 40 frames per second.
Because the viewfinder isn't tiltable, you can't take photos from tricky viewpoints.
When using the integrated flash, a shadow may appear on the photo. We recommend using an external flash.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX80 + 14-140mm is a mirrorless camera that allows you to capture detailed images in all kinds of conditions. With the 14-140mm lens, you can take landscape photos, portraits, and close ups. Thanks to the lack of the low pass filter, the 16-megapixel sensor takes sharp photos with lots of details. Never miss any action by photographing at 40 frames per second or filming in 4K. With the 4K Photo function, you can save images from videos as 8-megapixel images. This way, you have both movies and photos of all your action moments. Thanks to the electronic viewfinder, reflections are not a problem.

I was looking for a small system camera with EVF that would be particularly easy to operate. The GH5 was actually my first choice, but that type is a bit older. The camera is small (especially with MFT lenses!) and very easy to use. The stabilization works great and the menus are clear and intuitive. The folding screen doesn't go all-the-way (even for vloggers) but it's fine for me. I did buy extra battery packs because during a long trip through rural areas you will definitely come up short!

A year ago I started my search for a slightly more oversized camera than my iPhone. Beware: an iPhone with the necessary knowledge of photography already produces very nice results. However, with a smartphone/iPhone camera you will of course run into limitations at some point and the time is ripe for a "real" camera. After my research I came across this Lumix camera. According to reviews that I read during my research, the camera offered a number of top features that you do not normally find in this price range. I myself am still discovering the device but I am already very satisfied. Its features postfocus and 4K burst are my favorites at the moment. Post-focus is very useful when taking a shot quickly (you can decide afterwards which part of the photo should be in focus), 4K Burst photos are super useful if you want to photograph your children in full sport or other action: you can easily choose the best photo. The manual is also very clearly written: already on the second day I took a number of lowlight photos in the park with wonderful results. In short: a convinced customer for this top device.

Very nice camera with endless options. Great value for money! The smart functions such as automatic focus are very helpful for taking good photos quickly. Thanks to the stabilizer, the photos are sharp and with the lens you can zoom in very far.
Downsides are the hopelessly outdated smartphone app. On my iPhone XS Max, some buttons are covering the clock or battery. I would have expected a large company like Panasonic to have this in order, hopefully it will be updated. The WiFi function to transfer photos to your phone is difficult to find at first, but works well in the end.
All in all, a good camera that in technical comparisons comes out better than its competitors in this price range. I'm very happy with it!
