It takes razor-sharp photos and focuses really quickly. It is a pleasure to work with in both low light and sunlit areas. I use it in combination with the XT2, for both photo and film, and for both this is really great. I was especially looking for a lens that would be perfect for film and this one really does. The XT2 + 23mm seems like a very successful marriage to me. The camera remains light and small so that you can easily take it with you. The focus distance is perfect middle ground for portrait and landscape. And the depth of field is breathtakingly beautiful.
