I had the opportunity to test the EOS M5 at the Paris photo show last week. It is very promising and I immediately preordered it from Coolblue. I use it as a 2nd light camera with my Canon 5D MARK II and can use all my EF lenses, albeit with 1.6 magnification. The adjustment ring, worth €180, is included for free for the first months... (I hope also with Coolblue... ;-) ) My 100-400 will soon be a 160-640, I tested this configuration at the salon and the result was brilliant. I wait patiently for November 30th... ;-) What is also important to me is fast autofocus. And Canon has succeeded in its aim, thanks to the dual pixel system. (search google...) Even in dark conditions the autofocus was OK. In video this is also beautiful, you focus on a face (with facial recognition) and the autofocus follows this face even if it comes closer... impressive. I've given 4 stars for reliability and image quality.... this needs to be filled in but I can't judge yet... although, the image sensor is identical to the D80 and here the images are quite OK.
