According to our exercise bike expert
The Virtufit iConsole HTR 2.1 Ergometer Exercise Bike is suitable for everyone that wants to train towards a goal. With the ergometer function, you can see at which wattage your train exactly. The ergometer is also pleasant for people who are in rehabilitation. To work towards your goals even better, you can use one of the 24 training programs. For example, you can do a workout based on heart rate one day and one that focuses on fitness the other day. If you want to customize these pre-installed programs, you can easily adjust the resistance. For even more variation, you can connect the iConsole HTR 2.1 to the Kinomap or FitHiway app. With these apps, you can cycle digital routes through the mountains or along the beach, wherever you want. You can also race against friends and keep your results.
Note: you have to assemble this product yourself when you receive it.

I am a hobby cyclist who, now that autumn is approaching, still wants to maintain a bit of condition, and therefore was looking for a solid home trainer. In the past, I've cycled a lot in different gyms, and I was specifically looking for one that felt as sturdy and solid as one in the gym.
I chose this model based on many reviews on various sites. After 2 workouts on this bike I am completely sold. Top device!
After delivery, I put the thing together on my own in less than half an hour. I don't agree with the various complaints that the assembly and manual are difficult or unclear. The different parts just don't always feel equally solid. The body with the handlebar and saddle rod are solid, but the various plastic parts feel very rickety here and there. In other words, the quality is not the same across the board.
I had pre-installed the iConsole and Kinomaps apps on my iPad, and created accounts for them, so I could get started right away. Both apps offer a lot. Kinomaps does offer a bit more, however, but for the price of 9.99 per month (or 79.00 per year). At the time of writing, I'm not sure if I think it's worth paying for the app (I'm still in my 7-day free trial). The advantage of iConsole is that it is free, and you can drive from point A to point B via Maps, anywhere in the world. It is nice that the height difference in terrain is translated into resistance in the exercise bike. The disadvantage is that they are not smooth images. You always see yourself jumping slightly on a map. However, you can cycle Kinomaps with beautiful filmed images all over the world. It is up to you to determine whether you think the extra money per month is worth it.
What strikes me after 2 workouts is how quiet the bike is. Really whisper quiet. Furthermore, the trainer stands like a block of concrete on the ground. I can really ride up a mountain with it standing up without feeling like I'm pulling the device in 2's. Top. The saddle also feels nice, I can easily sit on it for an hour.
Critical points; too bad it doesn't have a USB charger to charge your tablet or phone at the same time. Also the power adapter with short fidget cable could have been better. Furthermore, it is a super nice device, and I am convinced that I will spend many pleasant hours on it this winter.

I wanted to buy this exercise bike but I hesitated for a long time because it says in the specifications that it can only work with I-console. While I would like to use Kinomap. Fortunately, this turns out to be possible. When connecting, you should not choose exercise bike but Exerciser! It is fantastic to be able to cycle in front of the TV in the evening.

Installation: Putting it together doesn't have to be difficult, but manual can sometimes be clearer and in my case a lot of time and hassle to get the cable back into the housing for attaching the screen. Cable cannot make a bend and goes into the kink. Risk of cable damage with protruding screws in the housing. Best not to run top cable out of housing. To hold parts while connecting cables, best to do installation with two people. It was just a bit of improvisation.
Quality: Two bad points in terms of quality:
Ergonomics: Saddle is adjustable in height for big and small. It can also slide forwards and backwards and the saddle itself is comfortable. So you're fine. However, the steering wheel is not positioned for large and small. So you have to make compromises in seating position, which is less ergonomic. Bar of handlebars also do not hold well and heart rate monitor had double liked so also on the lower grips.
The cycling itself: This seems quite adequate for the price. Easy to adjust to high resistance, you have a smooth pedaling movement with very little noise.
Functionality: The on-board computer is a bit more old-fashioned than expected and I don't see any possibility to keep track of cumulative progress. Iconsole app also doesn't sync the activities you create without the app. So the bike seems to only store your basic height and weight data and not much more than that. Conclusion: All in all it is still just enough for the price but I am curious if I have a Monday morning product or whether the sliding pin of the saddle is so fragile everywhere and takes effort to secure properly, otherwise this is certainly not recommended for the elderly to guess. The flywheel seems to be in order so a little more quality control on the rest is allowed, also for this money.
