While looking for a nice case for the iPad pro 10.5, this UAG tablet case caught my eye. I was looking for a case that fully protects the iPad. Apple itself offers separate solutions with a separate front and separate back cover, but these are each more expensive than this UAG solution.

The cover protects the iPad all around, but all connections and openings are accessible. The advantage is that the space for the Headphone jack is large enough for a large 3.5mm plug. So even your large headphones can be used when the cover is on the iPad. The case has an auto-off function. The screen turns off automatically when you close the case.

According to the makers, the iPad sleeve from UAG meets military drop test standards. I have not tested this of course, but the corners are well protected and the edge runs slightly over the screen so that the screen does not fall directly on the floor. This gives me confidence that if the iPad were to fall it will survive. An additional advantage is that the UAG cover has a good grip (feels rubbery) which is also pleasant to hold.

The cover has a standard holder for the Apple Pencil. This is on the back and is not bothersome when holding. I'm still not sure if I'm going to buy the Pencil, but you probably won't lose it this way.
