The image quality of the camera is not very good but good enough for the purpose and to be expected for a product in this price range. The sound quality is very good. However, the difference between the highest and lowest volume level is very small, and for us the lowest level is still way too loud (if our daughter is chatting in bed, which she does quite loudly, we can't hear the TV properly).

The connection also occasionally drops, with a very loud beep that cannot be turned down or turned off.

What is also striking is that at twilight the camera does not know whether the IR lighting should be turned on or off, so it keeps turning on and off until it is dark enough.
